i reserve the right to refuse a commission request that falls into any of the above categories. if i refuse a commission, i will do my best to give an explanation, reason, or compromise, but please keep in mind that i do not owe you any of these.
TERMS OF SERVICE
GENERAL➵ please allow up to 12 weeks to complete your commission.
➵ i can decline any commission request for any reason, and i am not required to provide an explanation.
➵ if anything comes up that will slow the commission's progress, i will let you know as soon as possible.
➵ all artwork will come with a simple watermark which you may not remove.
➵ your final image will be sent via email.
➵ prices are subject to change based on what is requested, most often if it will make the drawing process harder/longer.
➵ commissions with a specific deadline may be subject to an extra charge. please let me know with ample time if you are commissioning a piece before a specific date and i'll see what i can do.
➵ i have zero tolerance for inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour from a client (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.). if this happens, your commission will be cancelled immediately and will not be refunded.RIGHTS & USE➵ i reserve full rights to the artwork unless the character in it is not mine.
➵ i may use the commissioned piece for personal and commercial use and post it on my social media platforms unless you specifically ask for it to remain private.
➵ you may use the commissioned artwork for personal use ONLY. if you decide to share the artwork online or somewhere where other people can see it, you must provide credit. ALWAYS PROVIDE CREDIT! this goes for any art in general.
➵ under no circumstance are you allowed to do any of the following: claim the artwork i make for you as your own; claim a traced copy of my artwork as your own; use the artwork for profit; reproduce, copy, and/or edit the artwork without my permission; use the artwork for NFTs; use the artwork to train AI; remove my watermark. in short, just be respectful of the time and effort i put into making you a personalized art piece.MONEY➵ payment will be requested in full after i have sent you the thumbnail(s)/rough sketch(es) for your commission. i will provide you with the very basic skeleton of the artwork before any money needs to be sent through.
➵ transactions are through PayPal only, in CAD (canadian dollar). i will reach out to confirm payment once i have sent along your thumbnail(s).
➵ i will only continue your commission once i have received the requested payment. if i don't hear back from you within 72 hours (3 days) of me requesting the payment, i will move on to the next client, and you will be moved to the end of my list. this is to prevent a backlog of customers.
➵ if you cancel the commission, you will receive a full refund if only the thumbnails/rough sketches have been made.
➵ you will receive a 50% refund if the final sketch has already been made.
➵ you will not receive a refund once i have started working on anything after the final sketch phase (lineart, flat colours, etc.).
➵ if i cannot complete your commission due to unforeseen circumstances on my end, you will receive a full refund.REVISIONS➵ any number of revisions are allowed to the thumbnails/rough sketches. clear instructions are appreciated!
➵ 3 major changes are allowed to the final sketch. this does not include small things, like details that can simply be tweaked with the transform tool -- those are totally fine.
➵ only minor changes are allowed after the final sketch (tweaking the colours, adding tiny details to fill space, etc.).
➵ a fee applies for any additional major changes. the fee is not fixed and will depend on the requested change and the situation. i will not continue your commission or apply the requested major changes until the fee has been paid.
by commissioning me, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to my terms of service. failure to comply with these terms will result in immediate cancellation of your commission without refund and a blacklist. i may pursue futher action depending on the circumstance.if you have any questions about any of these terms or if something isn't covered here, please feel free to contact me! i am happy to answer any and all questions/concerns.
